Receive the Holy Spirit
Receive the Holy Spirit
By Sherry Hartley
“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13
I love this verse. It tells us there is more of the Holy Spirit to be had. The Father wants to give us more and there is no limit to what we can receive from him. As we continue to fast and pray for breakthroughs in our lives, remember to receive more of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit magnifies Christ, and He will help us to see Jesus at work in our lives and the situations we face. The Holy Spirit reminds us of truth and will tell us the truth about things that we may be confused about. The Holy Spirit is the Paraclete who comes alongside us to help us with whatever we are doing. The Holy Spirit is also the Comforter who will be near to us when we experience sorrow or failure. The Holy Spirit will help us become more like Jesus in our actions and our attitudes. He will fill us with the fruit of the Spirit that will overflow in our lives to impact the lives of others.
Pray now: Father, I receive your Holy Spirit today. I ask you to fill me with your Spirit and enable me to receive your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control today. Let these fruits of the Spirit dwell in me and pour out of me to others that I interact with today.
Pray for Breakthrough in the Nations!
Each day during this fast we are asking you to join us in asking for the remaining nations where the College of Prayer is not yet serving churches.
Pray today for Tuvalu.
"I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.” Isaiah 45:2
