What Do You Want?

What Do You Want?
By Sherry Hartley

“When he came near, Jesus asked him, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’
‘Lord, I want to see,’ he replied. Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.’”
Luke 18:40-42

Jesus often asked the question, “What do you want me to do for you?” Sometimes it’s important for us to tell the Lord what we want. Sometimes we need to write out our requests so that we put into words exactly what our heart is desiring. In order to receive, we must ask. Asking is very important. Jesus wants us to ask him for things and to be specific in our asking.

This year we have been asking God for a new family each Sunday at our local church. He has been sending new people each week. We have been asking God for salvations. He is bringing people to salvation each week. We have been asking God for baptisms. He is doing that as well. We are receiving because we are asking. This is a time of harvest, and he wants us to ask for the harvest. All praise to our Jesus who said, “For everyone who asks receives.”

Pray now: Thank you Lord for wanting us to ask. We come boldly before your throne today because you have invited us to come and ask. We hold out our hands before you knowing you want to give good gifts to your children today.

Pray for Breakthrough in the Nations!
Each day during this fast we are asking you to join us in asking for the remaining nations where the College of Prayer is not yet serving churches.
Pray today for Vanuatu.
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” Isaiah 61:1-2
