Rwanda, Africa on Fire
"The people of Nineveh believed God." Jonah 3:5
On this day, June 24, in the Year of our Lord 1936, the manifest presence of Christ flooded the African country of Rwanda. Groups of believers gathered to sing and worship, and they fell down under the conviction of the Holy Spirit in open repentance and conviction of sin. Following repentance came singing, dancing, and celebration late into the night. God gave them increased hunger for more and more of His presence.
In the next five years, the African Rwanda Mission recorded twenty thousand converts. Other groups counted an additional fifty thousand converts. Glory to Christ!
How would you like to see God move so deeply in your city that tens of thousands of people repent and turn to Christ? Lord, do it again today!
Father God, I want to see in my lifetime a Nineveh-like repentance in my city. Do it again, O God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
