“He has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:4
Every promise from God is on fire—that is, they are intended to lead you to encounter the fire of God’s manifest presence.
The Bible is full of promises designed to consistently connect you to God’s manifest presence, so that, you may become partakers of the divine nature.
Partakers of the divine nature means that you not only encounter the manifest presence of Christ, you also receive a download of his divine nature so that your human nature becomes Christ-like. The promises of God are designed to play a strategic role in transforming your life.
Becoming partakers of the divine nature is the heart of discipleship, and promises are the means.
As you read God’s word today and listen for his prophetic voice, don’t just mark the promises; use them to receive your download of his divine nature.
Loving Father, right now I receive this promise of your divine nature. Change me from the inside out. Open my eyes and ears to become more alert to your promises each day.
