Promises to Escape Corruption
“He has granted to us his precious and very great promises…having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” 2 Peter 1:4
Every promise from God is on fire—that is, they are intended to lead you to encounter the fire of God’s manifest presence. Some promises empower you to download God’s best; other promises empower you to offload your worst.
The worst of humanity is described in two ways.
Corruption in the world (around us)
Sinful desires (within us)
God has a promise for you today to empower you to offload your worst—both corruption in the world around you and sinful desires within your own heart.
Loving Father, thank you for empowering me to download your divine nature, and to offload my sinful nature. Thank you for this promise that you empower me to do what I could never do on my own without you. I receive your deliverance now from sinful desire within, and the corruption that is in the world around me. I declare this victory for myself and my family today in Jesus’ name.
