The Earth is the Lord’s
The Earth is the Lord’s
“The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.” Psalm 24:1-2
In these days everything that can be shaken is being shaken, and it is easy to lose heart and become anxious. God’s rightful ownership over the earth is one of the most comforting, encouraging, and empowering promises. When you go to sleep at night you don’t need to worry whether or not the world will still be in God’s hands when you wake up in the morning.
No matter what circumstances in your life today may threaten your own peace of mind, God hands you a promise that you can grab hold of. Psalm 24:1-2 is God’s promise for you today.
Father God, I declare over the turbulence around me, peace be still. The earth is the Lord’s. The world and those who dwell in it belong to God. Our God reigns.
