Front Porch Kingdom
“He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God.†Acts 28:30-31
Walt Disney brought the Magic Kingdom, but Jesus Christ brings the authentic kingdom. There is nothing fantasy or fictitious about the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God is not a place we go for five days and spend a lot of money in order to escape reality. The kingdom of God is ultimate reality.
The book of Acts ends with a picture of the Apostle Paul sitting on his front porch proclaiming the reality and authenticity of God’s kingdom.
You do not need to escape reality in order to encounter Christ. You can welcome God’s kingdom to your front porch. Christ wants to enter your everyday life and fill your everyday with his supernatural, manifesting presence.
Loving Father, I welcome your kingdom into my everyday life in Jesus’ name.
