Sowing and Reaping

Sowing and Reaping

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”
2 Corinthians 9:6

It is impossible to receive from God generously and yet give to others miserly. It is impossible.

The Bible is explicit, whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Notice, sowing (or giving financially) precedes reaping (or receiving financially).

Why would God expect his children to give before they receive?

It is a matter of maturity. God wants his children to grow up, and spiritual maturity involves selflessness and dependence. The more mature you are, the less selfish you are, and the more mature you are, the more God-dependent you become.

Every time you give money away, you give away a little more of your selfishness.

Some people wait until they get rich before they begin giving generously. God instructs us to do the opposite— "start sowing generously, and you will then reap generously.”

And that is a promise.

Loving Father, I am humbled by your extravagant generosity, and today I resolve to give generously in Jesus name.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Vanuatu and Montana.
