Blessed and Forgiven
Blessed and Forgiven
“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Psalm 32:1
Blessed are those with a clear conscience for they shall sleep well.
Every blessing of God is a promise, and there is no sweeter blessing than to know for sure your sin is covered, and your transgression is forgiven.
When King David sinned, he sinned with the worst of them. He lusted, had sex with another man’s wife, tried to deceitfully cover it up, plotted murder, and then bold-face lied about it.
As long as he hid his sins, he was miserable. “For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer” (Psalm 32:3,4.)
But then David did something courageous— he confessed his sin. “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,’ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin” (Psalm 32:5.)
David was a dirty, rotten scoundrel, but once he confessed his sin, he was completely forgiven.
You may be a dirty, rotten scoundrel, but the moment you confess your sin, you too are forgiven.
What a blessing!
Loving Father, today I bring my secret sins into the open to receive the blessing of your forgiveness in Jesus name.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Nauru and Nebraska.
