Blessed and Insulted
Blessed and Insulted
“If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.” 1 Peter 4:14
A good insult helps you determine where your identity comes from.
If your identity comes from people, an insult can be devastating; but if your identity comes from Christ, an insult is more of a validation.
Peter wrote his letter to a group of persecuted Christians, and he reminded them of the blessing that comes from every insult.
It is important for you to recognize that every undeserved insult that comes from people, brings with it a significant blessing from Christ.
When you are insulted, remember, the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. What more could you want?
A good reputation among pagan people should never be the goal of a follower of Christ.
Your goal should be a good reputation with God.
A good reputation with God is a blessing.
And that is a promise.
Loving Father, with every insult I receive from people, I receive your blessing in Jesus’ name.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Ireland and South Dakota.
