Overtaken by Blessing
Overtaken by Blessing
“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 28:2
When you are in Christ, there are not only blessings for you to take hold of, the blessings will actually overtake you.
The promise of blessing, like many other Bible promises, are often conditional. The blessings that overtake you are conditional, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.
Once again, the place of obedience is the place of blessing.
Do not interpret this to indicate that you somehow earn God's blessings. No way! You don’t earn the blessings, and you certainly don’t deserve them. Every blessing from God comes by the grace of Christ.
Part of God’s maturing process in your life, however, is to use blessings in the same way he uses promises— to call you into maturity which you learn by obedience.
Just as any good parent blesses obedient children, God does the same.
There are blessings God has for you today that sit on the other side of your obedience.
What specific step of obedience is Christ calling you to today? There is a blessing awaiting you just on the other side. Guaranteed.
Loving Father, I choose obedience in Jesus’ name.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Mauritius and Colorado.
