Accept and Receive

Accept and Receive
By Jon Mitchell

Stop trying to make happen what God has already made happen and start receiving what he’s already promised. In fact, the advancement of the Kingdom of God in our life hinges on our ability to receive. Jesus said in Mark 10:15, “Whoever does not accept and receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Receive means to take in what’s being offered. John 1:12 says, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (ESV).

It’s not about “getting” it’s about “receiving.”
Receive salvation.
Receive deliverance.
Receive the righteousness of Christ.
Receive the Holy Spirit.
Receive forgiveness.
Receive the peace of God.
Receive the hope of God.

We must stop continually trying to earn and deserve what God has already committed to freely give us.

Pray now: Jesus, I receive the fullness of your work in my life. I renounce the lies that tell me I must earn your work in my life, and I simply say, “I receive.”
