Don’t Cheat Yourself
Don’t Cheat Yourself
Yours is the kingdom…power…glory… Matthew 6:13
All prayer moves towards the vortex of the manifest presence of Christ, and the Lord’s prayer demonstrates this.
Every phrase in the Lord’s prayer is Christ-encountering. Every phrase builds towards an ever-deepening encounter until it reaches a fitting conclusion, “Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.”
One day soon the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever (Revelation 11:15). All history is moving in this same direction. The ultimate characteristic of the culmination of the coronation of Christ will be the manifest presence of God. What makes prayer so thrilling is that every day God invites us to enjoy a foretaste of His presence.
Don’t cheat yourself out of a foretaste. Encounter His presence now.
Loving Father, everything within me longs for the day when Christ is crowned King of Kings and Lord of Lords over every square inch of His created order. At the top of my lungs, I shout today, “Yours is the kingdom! Yours is the power! Yours is the glory!”
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Samoa and Vermont.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
