Freely Receive Eternal Rewards

Freely Receive Eternal Rewards
By Pauly Rodriguez

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

Jim Elliot’s words remind us to embrace an eternal perspective. In a world focused on material wealth and success, his quote challenges us to reflect on what truly matters—eternal rewards. Following Christ means letting go of temporary comforts, trusting that the reward in Him is far greater than anything we can hold onto.

As Jesus said, "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?" (Matt. 16:26, ESV). Jim Elliot’s life, even in martyrdom, showed that a life surrendered to Christ is never wasted. God invites us not to cling to fleeting things, but to freely receive His love, purpose, and rewards, knowing they are far greater than anything we can accumulate. True fulfillment and peace come when we release what we cannot keep and receive what God offers—eternal life, purpose, and a lasting relationship with Him.

Pray now: Father, help me to give up what I cannot keep and receive what You freely offer. May I live with an eternal perspective, trusting in Your everlasting rewards.
