Holy Spirit Prayer
Holy Spirit Prayer
The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26
The Holy Spirit can pray up a storm in the weakest vessel. Do you qualify? Can you sincerely say, I do not know what to pray for as I ought?
If you can say that you have a certain degree of weakness in your prayer life, you are a good candidate for a Holy Spirit upgrade. No one knows how to pray better than the Holy Spirit. Since He lives inside of you, He can teach you to pray however He wants, as long as you let Him help you.
The Greek word for “helps” in Romans 8:26 is syn-anti-lambanomai. It is only used two times in the New Testament. The root word is lambanomai, which means “bring, take or carry.” It is preceded by two distinct prefixes: Syn, which means “with”, and anti, which means, “alongside, before or face-to-face.” This word is an ultimate expression of how God intercedes or prays for us. Help is much too weak a word. Literally, it means He actually steps in and replaces us by carrying us in prayer. This paints a dynamic picture of the role the Holy Spirit plays in our prayer lives when we get out of the way and let Him help us.
Holy Spirit, help me pray. On top of me, alongside me, underneath me, around me, take charge and change my prayer life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Maldives and Oklahoma.
