The Lost and the Worst

The Lost and the Worst

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10

On this day, April 10, in the year of our Lord 1852, William Booth not only celebrated his twenty-third birthday, he became a full-time preacher in Clapham, England. William Booth went on to become one of the greatest evangelists and soul winners of his generation.

Sometime in his fifteenth year he had written, “God shall have all there is of William Booth.” He loved soul winning and was known for his famous words, “Go for souls, and go for the worst!” As a soul winner, he recognized the necessity of the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Enjoy his poem as our prayer for the fire of God’s manifest presence today:

Thou Christ of burning, cleansing flame,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
Thy blood bought gift today we claim,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!
Look down and see this waiting host,
Give us the promised Holy Ghost;
We want another Pentecost,
Send the fire, send the fire, send the fire!

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Mauritius and Montana.
